Michael Hyatt inspires me. Since stepping down from his post as CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing, he has steered headlong into his journey as a leadership trainer, blogger, and public speaker.

Yeah. It was crazy.
Just to clarify: I knew God had done a work in my back but I also knew it wasn't complete. I was in a little pain at the end of the night before I went to be orayed for (and usually, I would be in more discomfort than that), so I went to be prayed for. The part that Caleb didn't see was the movements God was having me do before the stretching: it was like being at a "cosmic chiropractor", for lack of a better term. (And yeah, I've done my share of chiropractic). I took a dance class in gr. 10, so like almost ten years ago, but it was mixed dance and not even a full year of ballet, more jazz and latin dance than anything.
All's I gotta say is, wow, God is amazing. I can't wait to see the video either.

I went to the airport in Victoria with it and I parked close to pick up your dad.
In my dreams:

a) Tiny weird things I'm deeply afraid of, or things that I'm regularly worried about, frequently come out. Like I still sometimes dream about being late for class in High School. Have you ever been in a situation of being worried about the time on parking? Probably. If I actually drove, I almost certainly would dream about having my car impounded.

My subconscious takes about a month to catch up to reality. Sometimes more or less. If I move to a new place, my dreams always take place in the old place for about a month. You had that car for a while, so it's no surprise that your subconscious is still driving it. It was nice. I would be.

Or maybe your subconscious just <3's Fryslan.

This reminds me of something else that keeps knocking me upside the head: When blind Bartimaeus called out, "Jesus! Son of David!!! Have mercy on meeeeeee.....!" Jesus didn't leap into action. He didn't come on all superman-like and say, "here joe, have some new eyes."

Rather, he asked, "What do you want me to do?"

Bartimaeus could have said, "I'm hungry." "Tell the world to stop picking on me." "I could use a camel." "I would like a new mat." Any number of things. But with God's intent being to use him as an example, faith rose up in him and he said, "I would like to see."

The rest is history.

So... some would say that asking God for specific things is the same as directing how you want God to answer your prayers. I submit that asking for a specific what still leaves room for God to choose how. Or if even.

Back to motivation. I don't know why we get all fussed about it. By thinking that we can muster up the right motivation to get God to answer our prayer is to put us into his position. Whoops. Wrong answer.

I saw an example tonight in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. One of the challenges Indy faced was that "only the penitent can enter the holding place of the holy grail." As he thought about what it meant to be "penitent," a light clicked on and he thought, "KNEEL!"

So he did. Then giant blades swooped by that would have severed his head had he remained upright.

The moral is, life ain't like in the movies. We can't guess what God wants, do it, and expect stuff. At the same time, we can't enter into God's presence without expecting something. I think Christians live a wonderfully paradoxical life.

So, there's two port hardys eh? Well, if you were to add a member to the tri-port group I'd reccomend Port Alice. Port Hardy, Port McNiel, Port Hardy and Port Alice. Yeah, that'll do. the Joint Quadport.

Congrats friend. Or moreso- thank you for answering that calling. I know its making a difference in His Kingdom. Its made a difference in my life for one.
Peace
