Christmas Time ain’t a time for a diet.

So this christmas… I thought that I’d try a different way of watching my wieght over christmas. Sickness. I got the flew so, i missed out on christmas dinner. But that’s ok. I survived.

I’ve been somewhat busy, and tired and drained. Sounds familiar eh? Whenever I start to work I get into this pattern. Hmm… can someone say work-o-holic? So i think i said it earlier, but i’ve been working in victoria. It’s a job i’m enjoying, and the best part is it ends when I go back to school. I’m working for watoto childcare ministries, i’m their IT Support guy for the time being. It’s good it stretches me and allows me to flex my ‘technical’ muscles. And on top of that I was given a christmas bonus… a laptop. So i’m finally rid of my old junker, yes i know I should be happy that I even had a laptop to begin with. But the fact is that I am tired of dealing with crashed hard drives, screws falling out, and spontaneous hardware failure.

Let me see. I think that’s everything. Oh yeah, i installed a tv for my dad. It’s his christmas present, a 40″ LCD flat panel.

Christmas time is here.

Well, it’s time for a break. But from what? Dorms? Life?… Aparently not much.
I’m in duncan over christmas break (Dec 15-Jan 8), and i’m working on a lot. I’m supposed to be working for my dad, doing reno’s around the house. I’m also working in victoria for Watoto Childcare Ministries, helping them with their move to a new office. On top of this I am left finishing assignments from last semester (you can save me the lecture, I already know).

So what am I getting a break from? I’m at my parent’s and it’s a bit like the dorms, there is no solitude. I’m working more, and accomplishing less. Spending more money in different ways. I’m left asking: “What does it all mean?” Apparently i’m asking too much to get a breather in this busy season.
