I’ve been everywhere man!
Well I am writing this blog from the lobby of a hotel 6. I know, once again I resort to poaching internet. We are 12 driving hours into the journey from east to west. And I am already questioning my sanity in making the trek (by car) each year.
I have finished yet another year at OGS, or as I fondly refer to it… The Oshawa Garden Slavery. It was a long season.
I expect to arrive in vancouver on Saturday and then move into school for my FINAL year on Monday.
The season is almost at an end.
Well it is time for one season to end and another to begin. And for some reason this makes me feel poetic.
As the summer breeze fades away,
the autumn’s fall takes it’s place.
I miss the warmth of the breeze,
the freshness of the air,
the life that the sun brang.
I never knew that a breeze could be missed.
therefore I long for that breeze to return.
I look toward the horizon, turn my face to the wind,
await the return of the warm air.
And I miss, the summer breeze.
Well there is the poetic portion of my life. I will be leaving for BC in exactly one week. Work has began to come to an end, and all in due time. And i am prepared to face another year at college. Hopefully this will be my last. The good news is that this almost weekly report will contine. so stay tuned for more of the adventure.
counting the days.
I realized today that it is less than one and a half weeks until I begin the trek back to Summit. I’d love to say… “Where has the time Gone?” but i know that it was spent cutting grass.
I had my 2nd long weekend this summer. and what is the equivelent of my 1st day off last friday. I was able to go up to manitoulin and spend time with the rents and my aunt and uncle. It was a good visit. I don’t know if I feel rested… but I did finish a book. So the count is now “1″ for books read. It was pure enjoyment… “The Red Power Murders – A dreadful waters mystery” by Tom King. Good read.
this is a gruelling week at work. As it should be… it’s a summer Job and I’m supposed to be working. (Note the text book answer). But I’m back up to 12 hour days. So i’m making up for my day off.
17 more sleeps till I leave for bc.
House Sitting in Luxury.
Well, I’ve officially moved into the position of house sitting at my cousin’s place. It’s great! I have satellite, a hot tub, and the house is amazing. I don’t think that one week will be long enough. After that I’m up to my cottage on Manitoulin.
The Computer is Dead.
Remember the Infamous Laptop that I was always complaining about… Well it’s dead. the Hard Drive is making LOUD clicking noises. SO… this means that I have a Valid excuse to spend $1400 on a new Toshiba Laptop with an Intel CoreDuo processor.
