Well, there is never a dull moment in my life. From working 116 hours over 2 weeks to all the birthday’s that my relatives have in Ontario. It’s been a busy month.
Today I was granted the privledge of planting flowers. Now this may sound unusual, but to me it was a grand change. Although I had to work on Saturday, I was afforded a different type of work. Flowerplanting. As a result my hamstrings are very well stretched out.
On the somewhat disconcerting note…. While I hesitate to say anything, News Travels Fast. So most of you will already know this:
I got the message last night (Fri) that my dad had had another stroke. He was at a Business meeting in the morning and was then to attend a private luncheon with the Prime Minister (100 ppl were invited). However, at his first engagement He got up, felt very dizzy and nauseous. Some co-workers managed to get him to the Bathroom where he was sick. At which point the ambulance was called and they took him to Emergency in Victoria. The stroke was minor, apparently in the brain stem. So prayers are appreciated.
Other than that… Nothing else is really new.
Once again the weekend.
I have had a pseudo busy week. I worked a whopping 55 hours from Monday to Friday. My body is starting to feel accustomed to the abuse, which simply means that I am not in as excrutiating pain.
Didn’t do a whole lot this week. Mostly family stuff.
Went to Aunt Phyllis’ on Tuesday. Had an enjoyable meal with Colin (her husband), Gram, Gramps… And ironically Uncle Mur. It’s ironic because he’s from BC… So in order for me to visit with relatives from out west (where I normally live) they have to travel out east.
Went to Aunt Kim and Uncle Kent’s on Thursday… Had another enjoyable meal. (did I mention that my family likes to eat?) Similar crowd, but I got to meet my cousin shannon’s OLDER boyfriend. It was interesting.
I feel deeply engulfed in the world of work, I got my paycheck and it is almost all gone or pre-designated funds. Not to mention that I get up at 6:30 am and am in bed by 10:30 pm. To make this worse. I can’t even sleep in on the weekends. So I end up waking up at 6:30 and going to bed at 10:30.
It’s good to hear that I am not just typing into the abyss that is the internet. Keep on reading and I appreciate any insightful comments.
The best thing about the weekend is that monday’s 2 days away.
Well another long week. I know it sounds like i’m only going on about work. But when you cut grass for 11 hours per day 6 out of 8 days it kinda becomes your life.
Not much is new here. I am tired and not ready for the weekend to end. I need at least 1-2 days more. Funny because i’m already talking about this and it’s saturday.
So, I worked yet another Long day. 12 hours in T.O. Boy i missed that city (and this is not sarcasm). It felt good to be back. My job is interesting, I’m outside all day cutting grass and weeding flower beds. Today was not real hot, but I fried at one of the sites. I actually think that I got mild heat stroke. It makes me dread the long 12 hour days in 38 degrees Celsius with humidity.
I also have resorted to hi-jacking the internet from family members. In this case I’m at my cousin Kathy’s, it’s fun. Her kids just came down to say Hi to me before they went to bed. Boy are they cute.
Yesterday was a busy day despite it being sunday. I went to church in Brooklin at a place called The Renaissance Baptist Church. It’s really cool, they’ve grown a lot since the last time I was there (2yrs ago) and they now have about 70 ppl attending. After that it was on to a family BBQ to celebrate a My cousin Jamie’s wife’s (Jen) B-day. This was fun, as our family is pretty big on getting together and eating. We are getting together next weekend for mother’s day. I then left the party and went to my grandparents (MacD) and visited with them and talked to my mom via phone for the first time in a week. And of course they got back from the evening church service, and what did we do? Go and Eat, at Swiss Chalet.
Well that’s all that is new here, so until next time…
Well, I arrived in ontario on Tuesday evening at approximatley 9:00 am (EST). However I arrived in brooklin at 8:00 pm. Go figure… no mishaps… just needed some rest and I got a tour of leamington.
Yesterday (friday), marked my first day of Work at OGS (oshawa garden service). This was somewhat unexpected as I had planned on starting on Monday. Oh well. I started off with a bang; 7 homes and 13 hours later. I AM IN EXCRUTIATING PAIN! By the end of the day I could barely hold the gas trimmer. Once again highlighting how I am desparatley out of shape.
My life for the next month will no doubtedly revolve around work… as a result This is the ALMOST weekly report.
